Janotta & Herner Construction Scholarship
Applicants shall be students pursuing further education in a Design/Build Construction Industry. Total award amount is $2,000, paid over the course of freshman-junior years, if recipient remains in a Design/Build Construction Industry and maintains a 3.0 GPA. Deadline: April 22

The Levy Law Offices are offering a $2,500 scholarship to one student who will be enrolled in a 2 year to 5 year institution in 2017 in KY or OH. Students will create a 2-3 minute video or write a 1,000 word essay about why you do not support or promote distracted driving (ex. driving while texting or drinking).

This one-time $500 scholarship is available to Shelby graduating seniors. Interested students should apply via the Columbus Foundation. A one-page essay describing the student's choice of major and what receiving a scholarship would mean to the student, the student's SAR from the FAFSA, and a current transcript are required.

National Association for the Advancement of Colored People
$1,000 will be granted to a graduate of 2017 from Richland County. Requirements include a minimum 2.5 GPA, leadership qualities, and financial need.

The Mansfield Noon Optimist is proud to announce the availability of four (4) $1000 College Scholarships to Richland County residents.
The Scholarship Criteria is as follows:
1. Have a permanent home address in Richland County
2. Be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate program
3. Provide two character reference letters
6. Have a minimum 2.5 Grade Point Average (GPA)
7. Scholarship grant dollars will be sent directly to the college or university prior to start of fall semester
8. If finalist, student may be required to meet with scholarship committee for a personal interview

Ohio Career Colleges and Schools Scholarship
The Ohio Association of Career Colleges and schools in cooperation with 31 participating careers colleges is offering 130+ scholarships. The objective of these scholarships is to provide students with the education necessary to obtain a job in an Ohio business or industry and encourage students to learn more about leadership in their community. Ohio Oil and Gas Energy Education Program
The OOGEEP is pleased to announce the annual scholarship application period. Applicant criteria: US citizen; career goal in the crude oil and natural gas industry, or related energy field, OHIO resident; GPA of 2.5+. Parentinn - Cyberbullying Prevention for Teens $1,000 Scholarship
In an effort to the cause of preventing cyberbullying, there has been a scholarship created to help stamp out bullying for high school students. Application requirements: high school student, write an article of 600-1,000 words on the topic of "Why is it important to stop cyberbullying?". This scholarship is to assist graduating seniors from South Central High School majoring in Business (Accounting preferred) with a GPA of 3.0 or above who plan to further his/her education at an accredited 2 or 4 year college or university. Students will be evaluated on academic achievement, work experience, and financial need. If there are no qualified applicants from South Central High School, the scholarship will be awarded to a student from Shelby High School or an Ashland County high school. Deadline: March 15, 2017

Scholarship criteria: must be a Richalnd County high school graduate or resident; pursue a full-time undergarduate degree; high school cum GPA 2.5+; demonstrate financial need. Apply online (only) at www.richlandcountyfoundation.org

The William D. Squires Scholarship
15 scholarships will be awarded to Ohio graduating seniors. Amount is $3,000 per year, and renewable for a max of $12,000! Eligibility is primarily based on financial need. The EFC on your FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR) must be less than 8,000 to apply. You must know your career goal, be highly motivated and have good character, and have a minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA.
Deadline: April 5, 2017 (applications accepted beginning Feb. 15)
