The Horation Alger Association of Distinguished Americans seeks to assist students who have demonstrated integrity, perseverance in overcoming adversity, strength of character, financial need, a good academic record, commitment to pursue a college education, and a desire to contribute to society.
Deadline: October 25, 2017 
 
 This award recognizes outstanding young people for their volunteerism.  State-level honorees receives $1,000 and an all-expense paid trip to Washington, DC.  National-level honorees receive an additional $5,000.

The AXA Achievementsm Scholarship offers college scholarships of $2,500, $10,000 and $25,000 to high school seniors who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in their activities in school, the community or the workplace. Plus, a $1,000 grant will be made to every scholarship winner's school.  
Deadline: Dec. 15, 2017  
 
WACE National Co-Op Scholarship Program - awards up to 160 merit co-op scholarships for a total value of $4,200,000. These merit co-op scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors and transfer students who plan to participate in college cooperative education at one of our Partner Institutions: Clarkson, Drexel, Merrimack, Rochester Inst. of Technology, Oswego, Univ. of Toledo, Univ. of Cincinnati, Univ. of Massachussetts Lowell, and Wentworth Inst. of Technology. Applicants must apply to one of these institutions and have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better.
